Trains and Sandcastles

Our last day in Wisconsin, we got up early and drove to the Illinois Railway Museum in Union Illinois. The boys could hardly contain themselves they were so excited!

Here they are with Nonni about to take the first train ride of the day.

I'm pretty sure this 'look' is mine... :o)

Hey GDad! This is a Train!

This sign cracked me up!

After playing for a few hours at the train museum, we had lunch and said goodbye to Nono and GDad before beginning our trip back to Michigan. The timing was perfect! The boys fell asleep for most of the trip around Chicago (which thankfully was construction and traffic free), and woke up in time for a snack and playtime at the beach!

Walking down to the water...

One of two sandcastles we found when we got there.

Graham trying to snake up on the seagulls :o)

better luck next time buddy!

Here is the second castle (with a moat) that we sat next to and the boys decided to destroy. Poor sandcastle!
