On Thursday, MumMum was recovering from a sunburn (ouch) so Reid and I took the kids for a bike ride to the park. I'd caught a glimpse of it the day before while we were up at Fort Mackinac. It was kind of hidden behind the Art Museum. Since, there was no way we were going to get the kids into the art museum without a whole lot of drama, (even though the building was air conditioned), we headed around the building and to the play area. The structure was built for much bigger kids than ours, but they still had fun.
Whoa...that's a steep slide
Mulch is apparently much more interesting than the playground. It was a shady spot so we weren't too surprised by their choice of play spot. However, the did manage to get very dirty so we packed them up and headed into the Village for a frozen yogurt. Yum!
The bike ride back up the hill to Grandpa Bill's house is a long one and the munchkins fell asleep on the way there....and promptly woke up when we stopped. Both were much revived by their brief power nap and decided that a good way to spend their afternoon...was to wrestle.
