Our first full day on Mackinac Island was gorgeous...and hot. We had been promising and promising MumMum and PopPop that the weather would be cooler up north...thank you Mama Nature for making liars out of us. Again. :o)
We were up early (well, the men were up early and the rest of us grudgingly got out of bed). We got the bikes out and hooked up the kiddie bike trailer to Reid's bike and off we went. Poor MumMum and PopPop! I don't know how long it had been since they'd been on a bike...but, it turns out, it really is just like riding a bike.
We rode past the Governor's house and over to Fort Mackinac.
After Fort Mackinac, we rode over to The Arch. President Ford camped on Mackinac Island as a boy scout and there is a famous picture of him at about 10 years old standing on the arch. (They don't let you do that anymore.)
