Mom's Day at the Train Museum

Mother's Day was beautiful and we decided to spend the day at the Henry Ford Museum. WOW! We never made it out of the Planes, Tractors, Engines, Trains, & Automobile area but the boys were fascinated. We arrived just after the museum opened (and while most families were either still at church or at Mother's Day Brunches) and had the run of the place. We played for about 2 1/2 hours before heading to Al Ameer - a simply amazing Iraqi restaurant - for a late lunch. YUM! Unfortunately, the boys were so over-stimulated from their museum trip, that they only ate the pita and then went under the table to play with their cars.

This was President Teddy Roosevelt's presidential car.

Fletcher sees the HUGE Allegheny Train for the first time.

It's really large. This is just the top half of the front quarter of the engine.

They even had a toy train display!

The strange shape on the left is the snow plow engine.
