Sunday's forecast - HOT and HUMID. What a perfect day to wander around Greenfield Village!! :o)
So we did! We got up early and were at The Village (after stops for coffee and danish at The Dexter Bakery) by 10:30. As we walked through the ticket gate, the TRAIN pulled up! WOW! So, off we went on a train ride. Graham was thrilled! We only rode it once around the perimeter before getting off to see the workshops and craftsmen areas. We made it almost the whole way around the workshop area before Graham found the Train building. And then, PopPop and Dada had to ride the train with him for about an hour. Fletcher stayed with Mama and MumMum as we visited the Shops. But we got him some ice cream and on the Carosel so I think he was ok with it.
We left The Village around 1:30 and drove to a nearby Middle Eastern restaurant for a late lunch. (The boys fell asleep in the car so we had to get takeout.) This restaurant (I'm drawing a blank on the name at the moment) had the best Falafel EVER!.
The boys woke up when we pulled in to the driveway - a short nap by their standards - and we spent the afternoon playing and reading stories.
