What better way to spend Labor Day weekend than at MumMum's and PopPop's house in the Poconos? Thank you Grandma Carolyn for letting us borrow your Ford Flex - it's the best travel car!
All settled in.
Think he's tired?
Storytime with Uncle Justin...at least I think he's in there somewhere.
Saturday cartoons and snuggles with PopPop
Pre-breakfast game of hide-and-seek. Can you see them? After a yummy pancake breakfast, the kids got their buckets and headed up to PopPop's garden. There were rumors of pumpkins to be picked.
Waiting for the grown-ups.

Pumpkins...I think they need paint.
After helping in the garden, PopPop got the tractor out and took the munchkins on a long tractor ride through the woods. Meanwhile, I quietly left and drove Target for paint so they could paint the pumpkins.
After painting, they had a quick lunch and we went to a Keoke Park. There is a flat, paved and enclosed basketball court where they could ride their bikes/scooters, a nice path through the Keoke Chapel cemetary, and a playground.
Uncle Justin is an expert at Flying Munchkins game.
Fletcher wasn't as excited about this game as he thought he'd be...
so he sat and watched the other kids.
Mimi came up for a visit, football and dinner!
Too much Flying Munchkins will do this to you.
One little,
Two little,
Three little munchkins...
They are all exceptional at coercing their grandparents into more storytime. Although, I don't think either one minded much.
Sunday was shaping up to be a dreary day and since the kids need to run we looked around for potentially entertaining activities. We found a trolley tour in Delaware Water Gap. We reserved our seats and had some time to kill before going to see the Trolley so we went to Dansbury Park. As we were packing everyone up, Justin found a cicada hanging out on the car. He was a little dazed and slow so we're not sure if it was tired from the previous evenings exertions or if it had fallen out of a tree.
Once on the trolley, it didn't take long for this to happen.

Soon after the art projects were completed, Auntie Lu, Uncle Jared, and Brettly arrived! First stop, the tractors!
Maddy very sweetly letting Brettly try out her scooter. (He was very good at it!)
Poor Brettly! Sorry we didn't bring an extra bike for you!!

Maddy found a millipede!
We had a wonderful family dinner with the Hildabrant's until the children started their meltdowns. Each one timed it so they melted approximately 30 minutes apart. Off to bed little ones!
The next day we had to say goodbye to Uncle Justin and Maddy as they headed back to Boston.

Tickle Spider!
After saying goodbye, we went down to Mimi's and spent a lovely afternoon playing trucks and legos at her house. She took us out to lunch too!
After lunch, the boys wanted to go for a walk so Mimi took them up through the woods!
The boys taking turns answering the phone to talk to Mimi's friends.
We then took Mimi up to MumMum's and PopPop's house for dinner. And after dinner, we went to Great Aunt Derbis' and Great Uncle John's house for dessert! But first, soccer with Brettly.
Yumm! Homemade ice cream!
Down!
Thank you everyone! We had a blast and can't wait to see you all again at Thanksgiving!
