Unfortunately, Graham didn't sleep much and work Fletcher up in the morning. The time change is not ideal for toddler sleep patterns. :o( Oh well. The boys got up, had a VERY early breakfast and then it was time to fight over who had immediate rights to the kid rocking chair. Fletcher's approach is a little odd, yet effective.
Step 1: Climb onto the chair from the side/in back of your brother.
Step 3: Pause for a sweet picture to convince everyone that this was your intention the entire time.
Graham wanted to go play in the sandbox and Fletcher needed an early lunch. So Graham and Mommy walked down to the yacht club beach.
And we were the only ones there! (Except for all the boat owners beginning to pull their boats out of the water and winterize them. That was fun to watch!) Graham promised not to go swimming in his clothes.
We didn't stay at the sandbox all day though. We had to go get ready for Rachel's baby shower! The boys were good sports about changing into nicer (non-dirty) clothes and heading out to the shower in Lake Geneva. The boys had a fantastic time at the shower. Fletcher emptied at least 3 bottles of bubbles all over himself and the play table Rachel's husband Chris had set up in the yards. They played and played with all the other kids at the shower. It couldn't last forever though and the lack of long solid naps began to take a toll. Rachel - if you're reading this, I'm so sorry we had to leave! And sorry about the soap bubbles killing all your grass around that table. :o(
