Beach, Sand Castles, Cars and GuanaDinosaurs

Bright and early on Monday morning, we got the kids up (way before their normal wake-up call), drove to the airport and hopped on a plane to St. Johns, USVI. It was a good first flight to Atlanta and an ok second flight to St. Johns. Graham fell asleep before we took off but Fletcher was beyond exhausted and screamed for 45 minutes once we were in the air. Thankfully, the flight was barely 1/3 full.

We arrived more or less in one piece mentally, got on the shuttle to Red Hook and then got on the boat to St. Johns. In 12 hours, the little men got to ride in a car, fly on a plane, ride in a bus and take a boat ride. Graham was so excited to get on the boat. He sat with Reid and watched EVERYTHING. Fletcher also enjoyed the boat ride, especially because it was very rough and the ferry was getting a lot of air between waves. Everytime the boat left the water, he giggled with delight. Mama, however, was not especially fond of the roller coaster feeling. :o(

But we arrived to this...

Our first day in St. John's, Reid and Justin went fishing (more on this later...hint - it was a successful venture and very tasty!). Shawna, MumMum and PopPop and the kiddos and I hoofed it down to the beach for a morning of swimming, cars and sand castle building.

Fletcher's first day on the beach...and one of the only times he allowed the hat to remain on his head for more than a few minutes.

Graham enjoyed cars on the beach
