Memorial Day Weekend

Saturday - we were hoping the weather would cooperate and allow us to go outside for more than a few minutes without getting wet. (In the past week, we have received 14 inches of rain.) We were granted our wish until about 5:30pm...it just wasn't warm. The weather channel said it was in the mid-60s....yeah right. Well, after a morning of playing and chores, a decent (but not spectacular) Monster nap, we packed up and headed to the pool. We joined the Huron Valley Swim Club this year and are looking forward to many fun filled (hopefully sunny) days.

Graham, the little waterbug, beelined for the water. He wanted to stay there and play despite the fact that his hands, arms, feet, shins, lips and nose were blue and he was shaking so badly he could barely hold onto the ball he was attempting to throw around. Lindsay finally had to change him back into his clothes and Gay took him out to the play area where there is a great big sand pit to distract him from playing in the water.

Sunday - It was back to the pool! Graham played his little butt off in the water. He also discovered the trampolines! That was fun!!! Really! I don't have any pictures of that though. We went to Paul and Carolyn's in the afternoon for a cook-out. We stayed through the tornado warning when we all ended up in the basement for a bit.

Monday - It was back to the pool. This time we met Britta and Jacob and their parents there. For a holiday, morning at the pool is surprising empty. Britta is 4 and Jacob is 3 months younger than Graham. Lindsay and Britta's and Jacob's dad used to work together at the Chamber. Small world!

Fletcher enjoying some backpack time...

and time in the bouncy activity donut.

I thought this was hysterical since my parents have umpteen pictures of me climbing into/out-of baskets/boxes small spaces.

YUMMMM!

YAY!
