Tuesday, December 21st
We celebrated Christmas with Angela and KC on Tuesday night before Christmas. We had a wonderful, relaxing evening with them.
Wednesday, December 22nd
Reid was assigned Lefsa dough preparation. He got it all ready Wednesday night in preparation for the rest of the family rolling it out Thursday at Paul & Carolyn's.
Thursday, December 23rd
The Lefsa dough wasn't quite right...so Reid made another batch! (Which we later discovered was the best batch of Lefsa dough made to date.)
Graham wasn't feeling well this morning but we sent him to daycare anyway. Yes, we were THOSE parents. :o) We figure the other parents do it enough to us, that it was only fair if we returned the favor. Lindsay went to work but got a call from daycare at 11am that Graham had gotten sick 3 times since she dropped him off. So, off she went to retrieve him. Poor little guy! He was so sick with diahrea, vomiting and a fever all day. :o( Lindsay had to break out the supply of Pedialyte for the first time ever.
Lindsay and Graham did not make it to Lefsa making activities at the McCarthy's. Everyone was very disappointed but understanding.
Reid got back from Lefsa making early and went to bed early because he wasn't feeling well. Uh oh!
Friday, December 24th
Reid was up all night sick. Graham was up on and off being sick. Lindsay, thankfully, was doing ok so she took care of the boys....but she did have to postpone the Christmas Day gathering at the R&L McCarthy's and cancelled going to the Christmas Eve celebration at the P&C McCarthy's. More disappointment. Kaitlin especially was unhappy because she hadn't seen her nephew since August when she and Nathan moved to Seattle. :o(
Lindsay did manage to get the appetizers and presents over to the P&C McCarthy's in time for the Christmas Eve festivities before heading back home to make chicken noodle soup for the boys. She then crashed around 8:30pm...and spent the rest of the night up sick.
UGH!
Saturday, December 25th
Reid is feeling better than the previous day and was on Graham duty because Lindsay was down for the count. Basically, everyone just laid around feeling pretty miserable all day. More chicken soup was eaten...in miniscule amounts. Finally, around 6pm, everyone was feeling slightly more human so we opened presents. Santa was very good to everyone, especially to Graham! He got so many presents he barely knew which to play with first! R&L may have to start rotating the toys into storage for a couple months and then switch them out occasionally so he is constantly entertained and the house doesn't become overrun with baby stuff.
Sunday, December 26th
Still in recovery mode but improving steadily. Kaitlin and Nathan come over for a visit in the afternoon and get to play with Graham. Graham LOVES his Aunt Kait!!! He had a lot of fun playing with her.
Unfortunately, Grandma MacGregor is now dealing with the flu that Graham passed on to us. :o(
Monday, December 27th
Lindsay took Graham to visit the doctor with her for an update on Baby #2. The doctor was the same one who delivered him and she was very happy to see Graham! She doesn't usually get to see the babies once she's done delivering them so it was a treat for her.
Grandma is recovering slowly so Lindsay and Graham stopped by her condo to cheer her up after the doctor's appointment and were soon joined there by Kaitlin and Nathan. Reid then came over with takeout lunch. It was a very nice afternoon!
And then Kaitlin gets sick with the flu. Oh no!! She has to get on a train to Seattle in the morning! :o(
Tuesday, December 28th
Poor Kaitlin is so sick but she did get on the train to Seattle. Hang in there Kaitlin!!
Lindsay and Graham had a very uneventful day playing at the house. Grandma MacGregor came over around 4:30 and played with Graham until dinner and bedtime. Then we had Christmas with her. She really loved her carseat from Santa!
